Avvance is an integrated point-of-sale lending solution, backed by U.S. Bank, that enables consumers to finance purchases quickly and easily. XML API can integrate with Avvance so you can offer financing for goods or services from $300 to $25,000, with repayment terms spanning from 3 to 60 months. Once the consumer’s application is approved, the sale is completed and your business is paid with the full transaction amount within 48 hours.

**Requirements** 

All Converge integrators that want to use Avvance must meet the following requirements: 

- Financing is enabled. Verify by calling :magic-link[/VirtualMerchantDemo/accountxml.do]{id="api-reference#tag/Terminal-Management"} with transaction type `terminalsetup`. 
- Region set to USA. 

To add financing via Avvance as a service in Converge, complete these steps:

1. Enroll in Avvance. You can find more information about enrolling at [www.avvance.com](https://www.avvance.com/). 
2. Once approved, setup financing in the Converge app. Refer to [Avvance financing](https://support.convergepay.com/s/article/Avvance-Financing) article for the enrollment steps. 
3. When you implement Avvance, your customers who make payments via your payment page will see the option to pay with Avvance financing. The application is hosted page.

## Step 1. Select transaction type

| Transaction type | Description |
|---------------|-------------------------------|
| `poslgetlink` (Initiate loan) | Accepts the invoice amount, consumer email or phone number to generate and return the unique consumer application URL. This unique URL can be used in invoice email, text or used to generate a QR code which customers can use to start the Avvance loan process. |
| `poslvoid` (Void) | POST request that voids a previous Avvance purchase or refund transaction. Only Avvance transactions that are not settled can be voided. |
| `poslreturn` (Refund) | Refunds a previous Avvance purchase. Only Avvance transactions that are settled can be refunded. Partial refunds are allowed. Sum of partial refund amount cannot exceed the original Avvance purchase amount. |
| `poslquery` (Query status) | Retrieves transactions details associated with a loan. |

## Step 2. Submit transaction request
Send data via the :magic-link[/processxml.do]{id="api-reference#tag/Process-Transaction-Online"} request.

 ## Step 3: Test 

Before going live, test your integration using the following test data on the hosted application form.
