This section describes the techniques used to configure Simplify Telium or Tetra PIN Pads. Accessing Elavon configuration, selecting menu items, scrolling and entering dots are described separately for touchscreen and non-touchscreen models.
A third section provides information on Elavon setup menus and data entry screens that applies to all models.

## Touchscreen models

### Accessing the Elavon Sub Menu

Reboot the PIN Pad by pressing the Clear and minus (--) keys. The Elavon Sub Menu can be accessed during bootup whenever a button (white circle in a green rectangle) is present in the lower right corner of the screen. To display this menu, touch this button or press the **Enter** (green) key.

### Using Elavon menus

A menu item can be selected by touching the item or by scrolling to the item using the plus (+) or minus (--) keys and pressing the **Enter** (green) key.

If a scroll bar appears in the lower right corner, additional parameters are available after the first screenful. These items can be made visible by scrolling as described above or by dragging the scroll bar.

### Entering dots

To type a dot on data entry screens, use the minus (--) key.

## Non-touchscreen models

### Accessing the Elavon Sub Menu

Reboot the PIN Pad by pressing the Clear and .,\#\* keys until a happy face appears in the upper left corner of the screen. The Elavon Sub Menu can be accessed by pressing the **Enter** (green) key during bootup whenever a button (rectangle) is present in the lower right corner of the screen. On the iPP350, this button is a white circle on a green background. On the iPP320, this button appears as follows:

### Using Elavon menus

A menu item can be selected by keying the item number or by scrolling to the item and pressing the **Enter** (green) key. The up and down keys are used for scrolling.

If a scroll bar (iWLxxx, Self xxxx) or arrow (IPPxxx) appears on the right edge of the screen, more parameters are available after the first screen. These items can be made visible by scrolling as described above.

On the iSMP4, use the F2 and F3 keys to scroll through the Elavon Menu.

### Entering dots

To type a dot on data entry screens, use the .,\#\* key. 

### Timeout

To save battery life, iWLxxx screens timeout after a 60 second idle.

## All attended devices

### Using Elavon setup menus

- Each parameter name is followed by a colon (:) followed by the current value of the parameter. E.g. **DHCP:0**

- When a setup menu is displayed, the first parameter on the screen is selected by default.

- If the value of a Simplify parameter is changed, the re-displayed setup menu displays the updated value.

- Pressing the **Cancel** (red) key returns to the **Elavon Main Menu** without changing anything.

### Using Elavon data entry screens

- All data entry screens accessed through the **Elavon Main Menu** initially display the current value of the parameter. This value is automatically overwritten by any entered data.

- Pressing the **Enter** (green) key saves the entered data and displays the updated setup menu.

- Pressing the **Cancel** (red) key discards any change and re-displays the setup menu.

- Pressing the **Clear** (yellow) key deletes the last character entered on this screen. Pressing the **Clear** key again will delete additional characters from the right, one character at a time.

- To enter a letter on the PIN pad, key in the applicable number (example: 2 for A, B or C) and repeat quickly to toggle through its associated letters.

## Unattended devices
### Self 3000
The Elavon Sub Menu on the Self 3000 can be accessed from the Closed state. To display this menu, press the Red key 10 times within 60 seconds:

This menu can be used to:
- Restart the device.
- Call HEM/Ingestate.
- View the following PIN Pad information: Serial number, TMS number, Package number, Version, IP Address (unmasked), Security protocol, SDK version.

This menu is used as described under non-touchscreen models (where applicable). Specifically: To select an item (Restart or HEM), scroll to the item using the Red key and press the Green key. To view additional items, use the Red key to scroll down.

### Self 4000, Self 7000/8000 (combo)
A Utilities Menu allows the user to reboot and initiate HEM/IngEstate. This menu can be accessed by pressing the yellow key at the “0” information screen and entering a password on the login screen. (Utilities Menu login requires a separate password. Please contact your Elavon representative for this password.)
