Hosted payments page (HPP) is a low-code integration method powered by Elavon's Converge payment gateway that enables businesses to accept online payments. It offers customizable checkout forms that are SAQ-A-compliant and keep the customer's payment data from touching your server. 

HPP provides a template that helps you create a modern, customized, and responsive checkout page, and enables you to use your business logo and color schemes. 
Hosted payments integration is ideal for businesses that want a checkout page to: 

- Link their custom-built website with the Converge payment gateway 
- Allow Converge to handle card data and payment processing 
- Offer a simple implementation and is customer friendly 
- Be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 

**Restrictions**

HPP does not currently support the fields required to process lodging transactions. If you are required to provide fields such as **arrival date** or **room number**, :magic-link[Fusebox]{id="/products/fusebox/v1/lodging-transactions"} may be a better solution for you.

## Getting started

**Step 1 - Contact software technical support team/customer service**

To implement HPP integration, you will need to contact the software technical support team or customer service by calling 1-800-377-3962 | Option 2 | Option 2, or by emailing <#sedevportalsupport@elavon.com>. They can help you with the following:

- Activate the HPP feature and add the necessary information to authenticate your transaction request when passed to Converge.
- Add the IP address of the server making the session token request to an "allowed" list.
- Designate a Converge user ID with a Hosted Payment API User status in order to post a session token request.

 **Step 2 - Integrate your Hosted Payment Page checkout form** 

To use the Converge JavaScript Library, your server must have the following settings: 

- All pages that use the Converge payment script must be served over HTTPS. 
- Your domain must have a valid SSL certificate. 
- Your server must support TLS 1.2 or 1.3 with Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS). 

Use the following endpoints to request a session token and redirect to HPP in our *demo environment.*

**Step 3 - Ensure your PCI compliance** 

Elavon requires you and your merchants that use Converge to support customer compliance with the Payment Card Industry–Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) guidelines. HPP collects all card data from a Converge hosted page, so you never touch your customer's card data. You must validate PCI compliance annually with a [Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ A)](https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/document_library/?category=saqs#results) managed by the PCI Security Standards Council when using our HPP. 


**Step 4 - Test and certify your integration** 

Once you have integrated your payment solution with Converge, we recommend that you test the integration. 

Only use Elavon-approved card numbers to test your integration. Refer to the :magic-link[test cards]{id="test-cards"} page for more information. 

You'll be provided with a test script to certify your integration. The type and number of tests you need to run depends on your region, market segment, and the transaction types you will accept as defined in your solution statement. Contact your solution engineer for more information. 

 **Step 5 - Go live** 

- Replace the demo endpoints with the production endpoints when you finish testing your integration. 
 - Session token request: `https://api.convergepay.com/hosted-payments/transaction_token` 
 - Redirect transaction request: `https://api.convergepay.com/hosted-payments` 
- Activate your production account by contacting Elavon support. 
- Configure your live :magic-link[payment page]{id="customize-payment-page-hpp-only"}.
- Manage your live payments in [Converge](https://support.convergepay.com/s/). 
- Use real cards to connect with Elavon's production server.
