## Configure payment page and emails

Hosted Payment Invoices offers a variety of configuration options. You can review the options in the demo environment but keep in mind that all configurations will need to be manually made when you have your production account.

## Available payment types

**Credit cards** 

Credit cards will collect card number, expiry date and name on card on the payment page. Credit cards are a payment type enabled by default. 

**ACH/E-Checks** 

Electronic checks use the Automated Clearing House (ACH) to direct debit from a customer's checking account into a merchant's business bank account.

- The routing number used for the demo environment is 490000018. 
- The account number can be numeric up to 16 digits.

**Gift cards** 

Converge allows you to offer gift/loyalty cards options to customers within a single or multi-location environment. You can issue cards for any dollar amount. All transactions will be processed in real-time, and you can add or debited the balance from the cards.

## Create an invoice/quote

Invoices contain the quote and invoice functionality of the Billing and Invoicing / Hospitality API. To create an invoice or quote see :magic-link[/invoices.]{id="api-ref-billing-invoicing#tag/Invoices/operation/CreateInvoice"}

### Parts of an invoice 

Each invoice object is made of the following components: 

- **Header:** The part of the invoice that contains customer information and scheduling. This determines who will receive the invoice, when and where they will receive it, and how they can pay for it. 

- **Details:** Determine what is being bought and what each unit of it costs. Contains a tally of the items to be sold and their costs.  

- **Notes:** A list of notes set by a merchant. These notes are open to user definition and can serve different purposes depending on what the merchant wants to use it for. 

- **Summary:** Sets what everything will cost in total. The summary calculates the cost of each line item, applies tax, and calculates the total.  

## Manage invoice

- **Get list of invoices** :magic-link[/invoices]{id="api-ref-billing-invoicing#tag/Invoices/operation/GetInvoices"} - Returns a list of invoices based on query parameters. 

- **Get invoice:** :magic-link[/invoices/{invoice-id}]{id="api-ref-billing-invoicing#tag/Invoices/operation/GetInvoiceHeaderDetail"} - Returns the following pieces of an invoice: header, details, notes, summary.  

- **Cancel invoice:** :magic-link[/invoices/{invoice-id}/cancel]{id="api-ref-billing-invoicing#tag/Invoices/operation/CancelInvoice"} - Set an invoice's status to canceled. If your merchant account has emailing enabled, an email alerting the invoice recipient will be sent automatically. 
   - This endpoint changes the state of the invoice. It does not delete the invoice. 

- **Send email:** :magic-link[/invoices/{invoice-id}/send-email]{id="api-ref-billing-invoicing#tag/Invoices/operation/SendEmail"} - Generates an email for the selected invoice based on the merchant account's email templates, and sends it to the user.
