## R55.1 - November 9, 2023 

### Canadian Power to Bind
The Canadian Power to Bind (PTB) Resolution is now displayed and required on the PDF merchant agreement, unless the customer is CIP exempt, a Sole Proprietor, an Unincorporated Association, or a Partnership. 

For the work being done in Q4 2023, if a merchant of a partner wants to supply the optional Business Legal Entity Secretary/Executive Representative, then it will be necessary to use Stateless Flow to get the unsigned document ink signed or eSigned, and then upload the signed document. 

In Q1 2024, PAPI Managed and Guided Flows will be enhanced to also allow the optional Business Legal Entity Secretary/Executive Representative eSignature.  

### Canadian Instructors
Starting on November 9th, 2023, for Canadian applications, unless the customer is CIP exempt or a Sole Proprietor, then a new mandatory Boolean (true/false) field needs to be supplied indicating if the particular owner is an Instructor. 

This field is mandatory within the `principal` section: `"instructor": true`

If there is more than one owner, then it is conditionally mandatory within the `addtionalShareholders.contactInfo` section.

An Instructor is someone who is authorized to instruct on the account or make changes to the account, such as modifying the account type, updating account contact details, and in the case of a credit card account, requesting a limit increase or decrease, or adding or removing card holders.

### Canadian Board of Directors
Starting in February 2024, for Canadian applications, unless the customer is CIP exempt, a Sole Proprietor, or a Partnership, then it will be necessary to supply the list of Board of Directors containing first and last names, which can be anywhere from 0-30 directors. 

The Board of Directors list is mandatory within the `businessInfo` section.

Here is an example:

## R55 - October 25, 2023 

### MFA emails are now customizable via the Admin Console
The Admin Console markdown editor (MDE) can be used to customize Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) email branding. Specifically, the following parts of an email can be updated in the Admin Console MDE: 
- company logo 
- banner
- email salutation 

All other emails are already customizable. 

### EID Quiz removed from Boarding
Since Elavon is ending its requirement to show the EID/KYC Quiz to potential merchant customers, the `fraudCheckResult` operation has been removed from boarding requests.
The `getquiz` operation will now only return the response “DECISION,” indicating that no quiz is available.

In PAPI Guided Flow, the EID Quiz page has been removed.

### New: Cash Discounting 
A new Value-Added Service (VAS) called Cash Discounting is now available to PAPI partners. Cash Discounting is sent to AEP as `cardTypeCode` value of CADIS. Cash Discounting % is also sent to AEP as a numerical value for `billingDiscountRate`.

### Stateless users can add date to Personal Guarantee 
It is now possible for Stateless users to use the `dateID` HTML marker so that the Personal Guarantee document can be dated after signing it.


## R54 - July 25, 2023 

### Error returned if monthly volume exceeds limit for new AMEX accounts
For all North American eBoarding API ("PAPI") partners, an error will now be returned whenever an application exceeds the monthly volume limit for new American Express (AMEX) accounts. 

All partners should ensure they are compliant with the AMEX monthly volume regulation by July 25, 2023.

For new AMEX account activations, the monthly volume limits are as follows:
- USA: Total Monthly Card Sales cannot exceed $237,500.
- Canada: Amex Monthly Card Sales cannot exceed $83,333. 

If the limits are exceeded, PAPI will return the following error, and the application will not be boarded to Elavon:

### Merchant page updates for standalone third-party Guided flow

#### Signing page
Now when PAPI Standalone Third-Party Guided Flow users land on the signing page, no Elavon-specific information is shown. Only elements defined in the third-party document template is presented.

#### Download documents page
Now when PAPI Standalone Third-Party Guided Flow users have signed and submitted their third-party documents, they are redirected to a page where they can download and view those documents. Elavon documents are not presented.

#### Application selector page
For PAPI Standalone Third-Party Guided Flow users, the non-relevant text about submitting an application has been removed.

### Custom Canadian Code of Conduct  
Using the Admin Console, the Canadian Code of Conduct (CCoC) can be customized with partner-specific branding. The following elements can be customized:
- Acquirer Address
- Cancellation of contract
- Complaint handling procedures
- Payment Terminal Partner Name
- Payment Terminal Services Provided
- CCoC URL
- Statements
- Fee Disclosures Requirements URL


## R53.1 - May 23, 2023 

### Branding using the Admin Console
It is now possible to use eBoarding's Admin Console to create partner branded emails with customized logos, banners, and email salutations. This is supported for any eBoarding language. Previously, some Elavon partners had hard-coded branding, and now these partners can also be modified via the eBoarding Admin Console. Healthcare partners are not included in this change.

### OAuth2 client credentials of grant type for push notifications
Via the eBoarding Admin Console, partner push notifications can now also be configured with the OAuth2 Grant type of Client Credentials (grant_type=client_credentials). With this authentication type, Username and Password are not sent; instead, clientId and clientSecret are sent. The authentication token is returned as normal and used for subsequent push notifications.


## R53 - April 25, 2023 

### New Funding Options: Pay by Day or Pay by Batch
Scoop US and Scoop CA now have new funding options, Pay by Day or Pay by Batch.

For PAPI users, the field is called `payByBatch` within ScarecrowApplication. 
- To Pay by Day, set the field value to "false"
- To Pay by Batch, set it to "true"

### Intermediary business ownership no longer required
Elavon no longer requires information on Intermediary Business Owners. The API data section, `intermediaryOwnerInfo`, is being made optional and any data in these fields will no longer be used. 

Please note that secondary owner information for anyone owning 25% or more of the business is still **required**. This information will continue to be captured in the principal API data section called `Person`. 

### Plain token authorization for push notifications
A new push notification type, **Plain**, has been added. A partner can provide a token to Elavon and that token will be added to the authorization header in push notifications.

### OAuth2 authentication now recognized 
All PAPI operations may now optionally be used with OAuth2 authentication instead of Basic Authentication. 

### Increased character limit for email address domain name
Users can now input email addresses with longer domain names (ie. longer than “.com”). The maximum character limit for the Top Level Domain (TLD) in email addresses has been increased to 63 characters.

### Signature indicators added for PAPI Stateless flow
PAPI Stateless Flow now has HTML ID tags to make it easier to find the places where signatures are needed in documentation:

- id tag, "signature-input"
- id tag, "date-input"

### Error when submitting different data with same unique ID for PAPI Stateless flow
PAPI Stateless Flow users now get an error message when trying to make more than one board attempt using the same `uniqueId` but with different data.

### U.S. credit card surcharge fees cannot exceed 3%
Credit card surcharge fees may no longer exceed 3% in compliance with card brand requirements. 

### Changes to Canadian Code of Conduct
The Q2 2023 Canadian Code of Conduct (CCoC) updates have been made, which include calculations for Interac Flash Interchange and new Voice Auth and Monthly Service fees.

### BAY SKUs added to PAPI jurisdictions
It is now possible for PAPI partners to use Built Around You (BAY) pricing, now that BAY SKUs have been added to PAPI jurisdictions.
