Avvance is an integrated point-of-sale lending solution, backed by U.S. Bank, that enables consumers to finance purchases quickly and easily. Checkout.js can integrate with Avvance so you can offer financing for goods or services from $300 to $25,000, with repayment terms spanning from 3 to 60 months. Once the consumer’s application is approved, the sale is completed and your business is paid with the full transaction amount within 48 hours.

**Requirements** 

If you want to use Avvance in Converge, then the following requirements must be met: 

- Financing is enabled. Verify by calling :magic-link[/VirtualMerchantDemo/accountxml.do]{id="api-reference#tag/Terminal-Management"} with transaction type `terminalsetup`.
- Region set to USA. 

To add financing via Avvance as a service in Converge, complete these steps:

1. Enroll in Avvance. You can find more information about enrolling at [www.avvance.com](https://www.avvance.com/). 
2. Once approved, setup financing in the Converge app. Refer to [Avvance financing](https://support.convergepay.com/s/article/Avvance-Financing) article for the enrollment steps. 
3. When you implement Avvance, your customers who make payments via your payment page will see the option to pay with Avvance financing.


## Step 1: Request session token

Request a session token :magic-link[/hosted-payments/transaction_token]{id="api-reference#tag/Request-Session-Token"} using x-www-form-urlencoded key/value pairs. The session token response is only valid for 15 minutes and can only be used once. A session token will be returned.

## Step 2: Build your payment page

Your checkout.js transaction request function must be able to: 
- Retrieve the Session Token Response value. 
- Assign the Session Token Response value to `ssl_txn_auth_token.`
- Retrieve the data from the :magic-link[Payment Form]{id="take-a-payment#step-2-build-your-payment-page"}.
- Your function must also include `ConvergeEmbeddedPayment.initPOSL(buttonId, paymentData, callback)` to enable your payment page to pass the collected data, process the transaction, and get the transaction response. 
 - `buttonId` The ID of the HTML tag that Avvance renders
 - `paymentData` represents data that you include in the transaction request :magic-link[/hosted-payments/Checkout.js]{id="api-reference#tag/Checkout.js-Transaction-Request"}.
 - `callback` accommodates the :magic-link[callback response]{id="take-a-payment#callback-transaction-response-sample"} variables for approved and declined requests. The callback function provides a JSON- formatted response. 

 ## Step 3: Test 

Before going live, test your integration using the following test data on the hosted application form.
