This page covers the steps necessary to complete your Avvance integration.

## Contact support team

To implement Avvance integration, you'll need to work with the integration team or solution engineer. If you're not already working with a solutions engineer, you'll need to contact <AvvanceIntegration@elavon.com> to get started. 

- You'll receive an onboarding request form from the integration team or the solution engineer. You'll need to fill out some information and submit it back to the integration team or the solution engineer. The information includes contact person and the details required for webhook integration.
- You'll be onboarded to Avvance platform, once the integration team has reviewed your details. 
- The sandbox environment details will be sent through a secure email to the contact person mentioned in the form. The environment details includes API keys, sandbox API endpoints and test merchant data.

## Integrate with Avvance platform

While making API calls, make sure to include sandbox and production URLs before the endpoints.
- Sandbox URL -  https://alpha-api.usbank.com
- Production URL - https://api.usbank.com

### Get credentials 

Avvance REST APIs use OAuth 2.0 access tokens to authenticate requests. You will receive your API credentials such as client_ID and secret from the Avvance platform. 

### Request token

*auth/oauth2/v1/token* - Used to request a valid bearer token from the endpoint provided.

Make sure to provide a valid bearer token in the header of each API call.

- Send an :magic-link[authentication request]{id="api-reference#tag/Authentication-Request"} including your credentials to the Avvance IdP endpoints. If you don't know the Idp endpoint, contact AvvanceIntegration@elavon.com.

The header must include content type **application/x-www-form-urlencoded** and your basic token created using your API credentials.  The request form data should be:

- In response to the authentication request, you will receive a valid bearer token response with expiration time and token type. The default expiration time is set to 15 minutes (899 seconds), which is configurable. The same token can be used in this timeframe. 
- Subsequent tokens are acquired by sending an authentication request to Avvance IdP endpoint and receiving a new valid token, regardless of the expiration time of the previously received token. There is no refresh token mechanism.

To integrate with Avvance platform, perform these steps:
- Once a loan is initiated, loan application information is sent to Avvance as a request payload through an API POST method. The request will include some information about the applicant and the requested loan amount.
- Avvance platform validates this information and responds with a consumer application link.
- Redirect the consumer to this application link to initiate the loan underwriting and approval process.
- Once the loan is processed, Avvance platform will respond with the loan application decision to you via a webhook response.

## Test and certify your integration

- Configure the API keys with your webpage or your app. 
- Test your integration using the sandbox endpoints.
- Refer to the :magic-link[status codes and error codes]{id="status-codes-and-error-codes"} if you encounter any issues.
- Contact <AvvanceIntegration@elavon.com> to get certified.

## Go live

- Replace the sandbox endpoints with production endpoints after you receive your certification from Avvance integration team.
- Now you are ready to go live!
