Important: This message should only be sent when necessary and based on coordination with Elavon.

The POS system can send Simplify an Initiate IngEstate message when the POS system wants to determine whether an updated package is available for downloading. The package can be used to download a new version of Simplify, new parameters, new form files, etc. This message can also be used to update the TMSID, by sending it in field 5001 of the request. See format and sample request below for details.

The Initiate IngEstate Response message will include the PIN Pad serial number as well as a Status flag that indicates whether the PIN Pad was able to successfully communicate with IngEstate.
