Power On and Off Link/2500
To power on Link/2500, press the Green keypad button.
To power off Link/2500, unplug the device then press the .,#* and Yellow keypad buttons simultaneously.
note
Pressing the .,#* and Yellow keypad buttons simultaneously without unplugging the device first will result to the device rebooting instead of powering off.

Use the following keypad buttons to perform specific actions:
- Green - Confirm selection
- Red - Cancel selection or return to previous screen
- F2 - Scroll up
- F3 - Scroll down
- Confirm the card reader has fully rebooted.

When the Welcome screen appears, press the following keypad buttons in this order: 0, 0, 0, and 1.
Depending on your device version you might need to press this combination instead: 0, 0, 0, and 3.

On the Admin menu, select 1-Communication type.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 2-USB_CDC.
- Press the Green keypad button.
- Press the Red keypad button until the Save and reboot? screen appears.

Select 1-Yes and press the Green keypad button.
- Reboot the card reader so the USB connection settings can take effect.
Configure Link/2500 for Bluetooth Connectivity

Use the following keypad buttons to perform specific actions:
- Green - Confirm selection

- Confirm the card reader has fully rebooted.

- Press the Green keypad button.
- Press the Red keypad button until the Save and reboot? screen appears.

Select 1-Yes and press the Green keypad button.
- Confirm the card reader has fully rebooted.

When the Welcome screen appears, press the following keypad buttons in this order: 0, 0, 0, and 1.

- On the Admin menu, select 3-Bluetooth Parameters.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 1-Switch on.

Press the Green keypad button.
The Setting Bluetooth power on screen appears.

On the Admin menu, select 2-Phone pairing.

Press the Green keypad button.
- On the POS mobile device, open the Bluetooth settings and tap the card reader name.

Tap Confirm or Pair when a PIN prompt appears.
On the Link/2500 card reader, the pairing code will briefly appear.

On the Link/2500 card reader, confirm the pairing is successful by locating the green-colored Bluetooth icon on the screen.
- Reboot the card reader so the Bluetooth connection settings can take effect.
Alternate Pairing Method 1
- Confirm the card reader has fully rebooted.
- When the Welcome screen appears, press the following keypad buttons in this order: 2, 6, 3, and 4.
- Press the F keypad button.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Terminal Settings.
- Select Comm Means.
- Select PCL.
- Select Bluetooth if not already selected.
- Press the Red keypad button until the Press F for menu screen appears.
- Press the F keypad button.
- Select the TDA option.
- Once in the TDA menu, select the Configuration option.
- Once on the Configuration menu, select the Communication option.
- Once on the Communication menu, select the Select Comm Type option.
- Once on the Comm. Selection menu, select the BLUETOOTH option and press the Green keypad button.
- Press the Red keypad button until the Save and reboot? screen appears.

Select Yes and press the Green keypad button.
The device will now restart so that the settings can take effect.
Alternate Pairing Method 2
If you are unable to pair the card reader with the POS device using steps 9 - 11 of Alternate Pairing Method 1, then you can follow these steps to pair. Keep in mind that you must follow all other steps above to make sure that Link/2500 is properly configured for Bluetooth communication.

Use the F1, F2, F3 and F4 keypad buttons to make selections.

Make sure the device is fully booted.

When the Welcome screen appears, press the following keypad buttons in this order: 0, 0, 0, and 1.
A generic pairing screen appears.

If an unpair selection appears, select it to clear any hanging connections. On the POS device, remove the reader from the paired devices.

Select PAIR.

In the Bluetooth settings of the POS device, click the name of the device that appears on the reader screen.

When the POS device prompts to conform the PIN displayed on the reader, click Confirm/Pair on the device and press the Green keypad button on the card reader.

- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 1-Enable.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 2-Scan Networks.

Press the Green keypad button.
The Scanning screen appears. Wait for the list of available WiFi networks to appear.
- Select the appropriate WiFi network and enter the password if required.

Press the Green keypad button.
The *New Profile OK** screen appears.

On the Admin menu, select 6-Connection type.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 1-Server.
- Press the Green keypad button.
- Press the Yellow keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 4-Default IP Configuration.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the IP configuration menu, select DHCP activation.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the DHCP activation menu, select 1-On.
- Press the Green keypad button.
- Press the Yellow keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 9-Port.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Port menu, confirm that the port number is 12000. If not, enter 12000 using the keypad numbers.

If you need to set a different port number, enter any number between 1024 and 65536.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 10-SSL mode.
- Press the Green keypad button.

On the Admin menu, select 3-TLS v1.2.
- Press the Green keypad button.
- Press the Yellow keypad button until the Home screen appears.
- Reboot the card reader so that the WiFi connection settings can take effect.
- Confirm the card reader has fully rebooted.

When the Welcome screen appears, press the following keypad buttons in this order: 0, 0, 0, and 0.

Press F2 until the Unified Payment Platform screen appears, which will display the obtained IP address.
Confirm that the color of the WiFi icon is green.
- Press the Red keypad button to exit.
